Help OG get a cycling prosthetic

Donation protected
On April 25th our friend, OG was involved in collision with a car while descending a road in France on his bicycle. The car had come head on with him on his side of the road while he was travelling around 30mph. We are truly lucky to still have OG alive with us. Unfortunately he hasn’t come away from this lightly. After being airlifted to hospital in Grenoble the doctors made the choice to amputate his right leg from the shin down. He woke up 2 days later after being in a coma to find this out.

Imagine that for yourself for a minute.

OG has been running the Rough Rider Velo group for 14 years. Cycling 2/300 miles a week spreading his grin across the streets, shops and events in London. Doesn’t matter if you ride a road, fixed, gravel, mountain or unicycle, he’ll be happy to see you in the pack getting involved in what we all love, riding!

I’m hoping this page can be a place for people to come together, shares stories, donate, or even organise some events to help OG get back on the bike and get him a prosthetic for cycling.

I’ve reached out to prosthetics and physios to start this journey, but if anyone has any help please feel free to contact us.

The current target may change when we have a better understanding of what treatment and processes are needed.
