This is a story about a girl and a boy and their dog. Laura is the girl in this story and Caldwell is the boy. Willow is the dog and you'll read about her story below!
Willow grew up on the east coast. Her first days were spent in New Hampshire, but she eventually moved to Vermont. Willow loved spending time on the beach as a pup with her friend Wiley (the lab in the photo below).

Vermont was good to Willow. She learned to ski, mountain bike, and hike at an early age. Here she is on the top of Mad River Glen with Caldwell.

Willow grew into a teenager and became a beautiful pup. Her ears have always been larger than life, but she didn't learn to listen until later on.

As a teenager, Willow became an avid boater and hiker. Sometimes, she let Caldwell do the heavy lifting on longer hikes.

After a couple of years, Willow moved to Colorado with Caldwell to live with her dog friends Skippu, Wiley, and Tito, among others. She had a lot of friends, visitors, and caretakers when Caldwell moved away for a while (thanks Dean!).

Eventually, Willow, Laura & Caldwell moved to the beautiful town of Bellingham, in Washington state. Willow loves the great outdoors in her new home, but also likes playing inside with her squirrels and human friends.

Fast forward to 2 months ago (September, 2016). Willow was showing serious signs of slowing down on bike rides and hikes. This turned into serious sustained limping on her left leg, so Caldwell and Laura took her to the vet. They found out that Willow had torn her ACL, which requires surgery.
Although Willow was bummed with the diagnosis and has had to sit out for hikes and bike rides, she has an almost 100% chance at full recuperation after her surgery with doctor James Hutchinson on 11/18/2016.

Why does this mean so much to us? Because this is one special pup that brings so many people so much joy. We're trying to cover a large portion of the surgery (total cost is $3,200) with this GoFundMe page and hope you will chip in to help our furry fwend!

P.S.: Here's one last pic, which shows just how much Willow likes the holidays (and Santa Claus!):
