Help offset Niko's family's vet bills

Niko the Husky got loose from his yard. While he was roaming Forbes St. and the surrounding area by Willett Pond, someone shot him in the head with a pellet gun and he subsequently had to be put to sleep due to the wound.

Tony Ferreira (our school committee member at-large) heard about this tragedy and it really hit home because he too has a Husky. Tony wanted to do something to help them so this "gofundme" has been created with the permission of the family.

Taylor Rose and Neil Treglia, Niko's family, have been truly touched by the outpouring of love, concern and help shown them by the community sharing their posts and helping to locate Niko. Sadly, he had to be put down due to his injury. Not only are they devastated at the tragic loss of their beloved pet, but they have incurred $3,000 in unanticipated vet bills.

The $3,500 goal is to cover the vet bills and offer a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest of whoever shot this poor dog. Please consider helping our Riverside neighbors by making a donation.
