Gavin was a healthy, rambunctious, sweet 10-year-old little boy. On June 9th of this year, a routine visit turned into a nightmare when Gavin was diagnosed with a brain tumor. His parents' world came crashing down around them. He was admitted to Cincinnati Children's Medical Center and had surgery just four days later to remove the mass. The surgery went great. They were able to remove the tumor, and he started improving. He was released on June 26th. A couple of days later, his Mom, Vanessa, received a phone call, and another area was found. This time though, the prognosis was not so great. He will have to undergo extensive chemo and radiation to kill this spot. Surgery is not an option. He starts his treatment on the 18th. During this time, his mother has not been able to work, and his father is working when he can. As you can imagine, this has been financially difficult. They are not ones to ask for help, but they really need a support system to pull through and help offset some of these costs, so they can be there for their baby and provide for their other children during this time. Every single dollar would be MUCH appreciated!
