Help Offset Chuchi's Emergency Surgery Cost

Well, not the best start to a birthday month! My poor mini-bull terrier, Chuchi, was taken into the emergency vet on 10/7 after a really traumatic night of vomiting, and she needs urgent surgery to explore and hopefully remove whatever foreign obstruction is keeping her from eating and drinking. She's waiting to be taken under as I type. For those of you that don't know, Chuchi's status as a rescue from a Russian puppy mill means that she has some behaviors that we've been unable to fully curb, and that includes scarfing down many non-food items as soon as my back is turned.

I am very blessed to have a steady job, but Chuchi's pre-existing cancer precluded her from pet insurance, and I am staring down the barrel of a $2500 dollar surgery. I am (very nervously and humbly) asking to offset the initial cost associated with her recovery, including saving a day of PTO in case I need to take her for further treatment or tests. The money will also go toward fitting her for a vet-recommended basket muzzle to use on walks to keep anything like this from happening again. It will be pink and cute, just like her!

Update on Chuchi: her surgery went well and after observation tonight, she will get to come home tomorrow afternoon!
