Help Officer Willis and his Family recover from Car Crash

Hello. My name is Shannon Powell. I am a Texas Peace Officer and on January 10th, 2025, Officer Micah Willis, my best friend and a Texas Peace Officer for a small town in Northeast Texas, was on his way to work in the evening on Interstate 175 Eastbound when his vehicle unexpectedly began to leave the roadway during the 2025 Texas Winter Season. While attempting to regain control of his 2009 Mazda 3, Officer Willis began to roll a total of three times and ended on the opposite side of the highway, on Interstate 175 Westbound.

Although he initially survived the encounter and spent a few days in the ICU, he had to be put into a medical collar for injuries to his neck, thus preventing him from returning to work until medically cleared. Having possessed, and now lost, the only working vehicle his family owned, and as the sole provider for his disabled parents and three dogs, with medical debts and other bills adding up, they are without much real support.

The purpose of this GoFundMe is to help Officer Willis and his family to survive the financial burden they have been placed in and recuperate their losses and move on with their lives. His job is a thankless one that the pay, regardless of where one might work as a Police Officer, is pitifully under the line of what it should be.

All proceeds will be donated directly to Officer Willis and his family in helping them directly with medical debts, transportation issues, and other bills while Officer Willis recovers and is unable to work.
