Help Officer Scott Brouwer Heal and Rebuild
Donation protected

As the President of the Carnegie Mellon Campus Police Association, I, Officer Brandon Riddle, am reaching out to our community in a time of need. Officer Scott Brouwer, a dedicated motorcyclist with the Carnegie Mellon University Police Department for the past nine years, was tragically involved in a serious on-duty accident while assisting with the motorcade escort for former President Trump during a recent visit.
Scott plays a critical role on CMUPD’s Dignitary Protection Detail, a team responsible for protecting the safety of politicians and dignitaries who visit Carnegie Mellon University, as well as provide mutual aid assistance during visits throughout the Pittsburgh area. Sadly, this accident left him with severe injuries, including a shattered pelvis, a broken wrist, and multiple internal injuries. While he is stable, Scott faces a long and challenging journey to recovery.
We’ve launched this GoFundMe campaign to help ease the financial strain on Scott's family during this difficult time. Beyond his duties as an officer, Scott is a devoted father, an inspiring leader, a skilled motorcyclist, and a cherished friend to many. His commitment to protecting and serving our community has always been unwavering. Now, it’s our chance to stand by his side.
Any contribution, no matter the size, will have a meaningful impact on Scott’s recovery. Please consider donating and sharing this campaign to help him and his family through this challenging period.
Thank you for your kindness and for helping support a dedicated officer in his time of need.
Sincerely,
Officer Brandon Riddle
