Help Officer & Mother Joanna Fight Cancer and PML
Donation protected
Dear friends and family,
I am reaching out with a heavy heart to share some devastating news about my mom Joanna. Joanna, who's always been the backbone of our family and community, has been going through a hell of a time with her health. First, she was diagnosed with terminal Hodgkin's lymphoma and given just two to five years to live. As if that wasn't devastating enough, she's now also been hit with Progressive Multifocal Leukoencephalopathy (PML), which has cut her time even shorter.

She's served as a police officer in our community, always going above and beyond to keep us safe. She's also the person who's been there for relatives and friends when they needed it the most. She's loved by everyone, and knowing she's facing this tears us up. Her life, marked by an unwavering commitment to her community and family, is a testament to her exceptional character. It is both deeply painful and gravely concerning to see someone who has given so much face such a devastating health crisis.

Given the severity of her medical conditions, we are encountering mounting bills that our current financial situation cannot sustain. Costs include, but are not limited to, transportation to medical facilities where she is currently admitted at Monument Health Rapid City Hospital, and better medical care IHS cannot provide right now. Even with insurance, the expenses are overwhelming.

Therefore, we have set a fundraising goal of $15,000 to alleviate the tremendous financial burden this has placed on our family, allowing us to focus on offering Joanna the best care and comfort possible during this challenging time. Your contribution, whether financial or by sharing this fundraiser, will be immeasurably valuable in helping us navigate this tragic period in our lives. If you can help in any way, even if it's just sharing this, it would mean the world to us.
Thanks for taking the time to read our story. Let's pull together and show Joanna the same love and support she's shown all of us throughout her life.
