Failing Coffee Co is a newly started business ran by me, Ofelia. This passion project is rooted with community from the coffee, art, and the music scene. It comes from a background of strong DIY ethos.

Having begun this project only 6 months ago, I am very happy with how far it has come. We have worked in festivals, record stores, art galleries, and third spaces. The support for the brand has shown and the demand has continued to expand. To keep up with this, I have quit all my steady income jobs to put more love and attention to this project, which has paid off immensely. More opportunities keep coming up, and the intention of leaving my jobs was to be able to never say no to any of them.

But one of the other biggest demands that I have not been able to meet is reliable transportation. I am unable to save/ make enough money to afford a car. All my income has come from tips, and go to my living costs such as rent and bills. The busier I get, the more my costs for the business sky rocket because of car rental fees which keep the business stagnant and unable to grow. I have been so lucky to have friends willing to help with this, but of course, I cannot keep relying on favors.

I need a large and reliable vehicle to transport my cart and supplies. I was raised to be a very strong, independent woman, and rarely ever ask for help unless it's necessary, but I will be setting my pride aside to ask you all for help. I am hoping to be able to raise $6,000 that will go to a used car that will get me by.

I understand in this world that we currently live in, there are more pressing matters and families that need/ deserve more help than I do. I strongly urge you to donate to those in need first before you consider me.
