Hi, my name is Leah and this is my best boy Odin! Odin is my emotional support animal! He’s been with me for almost 9 years now, and has done wonders for my mental health. I raised him since he was 5 weeks old, he slept on my chest every night and ever since we have been inseparable. He’s been with me for so many life changes, I brought him to college and had him with me anywhere I could after I graduated. He’s been with me through all the ups and downs of my mental health, even giving me a reason to get out of bed in the morning when I had nothing else.

A few months ago, Odin tore his ACL in his back left leg. Due to the injury, he has had to compensate for his weak left leg with his right one. Anyone who has seen this issue before in dogs would know that once one leg goes, the other is likely to within a year. Unfortunately, we did not get a year.

Right now I’m trying to do everything in my power to preserve his ability to walk. I have him on supplements as well as anti inflammatories to help with the swelling. The surgery is going to cost upwards of $10,000, though I by no means expect to crowdsource anything close to that number. We are already in the process of selling some of our belongings to save up for the procedure. Anything helps, I just want to keep my best friend’s ability to walk.
