I’m ashamed to admit that I haven’t been in the greatest place mentally and financially this past year and now my baby is paying for it. All I know is that I’ll never let myself be in this position again.

As I’m writing this, we are currently held up at the vet office, unable to cover the bill for his treatments and medication he desperately needs.

Odins anal sac ruptured yesterday and he’s been in tremendous pain, straining to poop. Luckily there was no obstruction, but he did have to have an xray, be sedated and needs antibiotics, anti-inflammatory meds and painkillers to recover fully. He’s at risk for this to happen again, the vet said it’s likely to reoccur after it happens the first time. This bill is a total of $1296 that we have to pay in order to leave, and with this meds.

I fear it will make this issue much worse for him in the future if he can’t heal properly this time. And the last thing I want for my baby is for him to be in pain and suffering, which is why I’m promising to myself that I’ll make every effort to not be in this position again.

I’m doing this as a last ditch effort because I have been denied financing and cannot find anyone at the moment who is able to help, or maybe apply for the financing on my behalf (with me making the payments of course).

I’m extremely worried he will not get better without his meds, and I can’t bear to watch him suffer. This dog is the love of my life, and on the hardest days this boy is the reason I am still here. I would die for this dog, just like I would my family.
