Odin has been my loyal companion and a source of comfort through so many ups and downs. Recently, he began experiencing severe swelling and pain, and after consulting with a vet tech and specialist, I learned that his lymph nodes are causing a lymphatic obstruction. This has led to fluid buildup and discomfort, and despite medication and care, his condition has worsened. The advice I received was to focus on his comfort and quality of life, and I am now facing the heartbreaking decision to schedule euthanasia to prevent further suffering.

This year has already been incredibly difficult, as I lost my service dog, Ham, to cancer in January. My employers at Thomas Street generously helped with Odin’s first vet appointment, and my sister supported me through Ham’s passing. I am deeply grateful for their kindness, and it’s hard for me to ask for more help. However, I want to make sure Odin’s final days are filled with love and comfort, and that his remains are beautifully kept and cherished as a tribute to the life we shared.
