Odie Suddenly Paralyzed – Help Fund His Urgent Surgery
Donation protected
My name is Dmitriy and I’m fundraising for my beloved 5-year-old dachshund, Odie.
Yesterday, our sweet dachshund Oddy suddenly started feeling unwell. By the evening, he had completely lost the ability to move his hind legs. We rushed him to the emergency vet, where we were told that his back legs had no response — and that the only chance to save his mobility is through urgent spinal surgery.
Oddy has been diagnosed with IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease), a condition sadly common in dachshunds. One of the discs in his spine slipped and began pressing on his spinal cord, causing sudden paralysis. This all happened within just 12 hours — he went from walking and playing to being unable to move.
The estimated cost for his surgery is $14,000–$15,000, not including post-op care and rehabilitation. It’s a heartbreaking and overwhelming situation, but with timely surgery, there’s hope for a full recovery.
We’re asking for your help. Any donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to giving Oddy the chance to run, play, and live a happy, pain-free life again. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and support.
Thank you.
