Help Odeyi pay for a vehicle or fix his truck

Hi my name is Jen and my son and Odeyi have been good friends for the past 6 years.

Recently Odeyi's truck was legally parked on a street and a drunk driver hit his truck and caused extensive damage.  It had taken him 2 years to save up and pay for his own vehicle.  Thankfully he was not in his truck, but he had to have it towed at his expense and has been accruing storage fees ever since.  Without enough money to pay for the damages, he is going to have to surrender his truck. The driver, nor Odeyi have car insurance. So he is left to foot the over $5,000 bill for something he had no involvement in.

 

A little background on Odeyi - he is a high school senior that is going to be a marine after high school and pursue a career in law enforcement. He is active in sports and is a photographer on the yearbook staff at school. He was recently captain of his soccer team. He has dedicated his future to helping others and I am hoping to help him in some small way.

 

I am trying to help him raise some money to put towards the cost of a new vehicle. As we all know the timing couldn't be worse with the price of used cars through the roof. In the meantime he needs a vehicle to get to work and school. Odeyi is a great kid that is always willing to help out his friends and family (even if he is mouthy about it! haha!), his family doesn't have the resources to help him buy a new vehicle. Please consider donating any amount you can - even a small amount will make a big difference. All money raised will go directly to Odeyi (minus whatever fees gofundme takes). The sooner we can get him a new vehicle the better!
