My life changed suddenly when my apartment caught fire while I was away, just a day before my birthday. The fire started from an old refrigerator that management knew needed attention, and by the time I returned, everything I owned was gone. The hardest part of all was losing my 8-month-old puppy, Dior
, who was like family to me. The pain of losing her and seeing my home destroyed is something I never imagined I’d face.

Now, I’m staying at a hotel with my other dog, trying to figure out my next steps. I lost all my photos, memories, and valuable items in the fire. While I’m grateful for the support of my family and friends, the costs of temporary housing and replacing my belongings are overwhelming. I’m especially grateful to be here and able to ask for help on my birthday, 7/26. I’m reaching out for help to cover these urgent expenses and to start rebuilding my life after this tragedy.
