Help me cover the costs for an apartment security deposit and the international shipping for my belongings!

My name is October, and I am a transgender American who just got approved to stay in Berlin, Germany for three years. I can't go back, even if I miss my home, because things are getting worse for trans folks there every day and my chronic illness is worsened by stress. Delightful, right?

But! Approved with my residence permit! I am a full time Author and got an artist freelance visa. That was a huge step. However, my savings is meant to help me live here, not cover costs for things like shipping boxes. I only need one U-box, the cost of which is estimated around $4,500 to send internationally. My good friend Rosemary even confirmed I only need one!

Apartment security deposits here are around 2 to 3 months of rent, and I am looking at apartments under €1,200. But to be safe, I accounted for a little wiggle room. Worst case, any extra funds will help me get a bed. But of these costs, about $3,500 USD has been added, which should cover 2 months of a security deposit.

I don't know how to get stable in a foreign country but this would go a long way toward it. I have access to somewhere I can store my things in a pinch, but my hope is to obtain my apartment before I send for my stuff. I have a handful ready to view and am just getting paperwork together.

So, yeah. Goals of getting €7150 which is just over $8500. Because currency conversion is weird.
