Obi, my son’s English lab, is more than just a pet—he’s truly family. My son and Obi are inseparable; he doesn’t vacation because he won’t leave Obi, and they even sleep in the same bed. Their bond is like no other, and my son is devastated right now. They spend their days going for walks, hiking, and playing fetch, and with my son working from home three days a week, they’re always together.

Recently, Obi suffered a terrible accident and broke his femur bone. He’s already had X-rays, but the first doctor couldn’t perform the surgery he needs. Now, Obi is being casted and will have a cat scan on Tuesday to determine the best course of surgery. The costs are already overwhelming, and the road ahead will be long and challenging for both Obi and my son.

The funds raised will go directly toward Obi’s medical expenses, including the cat scan, surgery, and ongoing care. Any support—whether it’s a donation or a prayer—means the world to us. Obi is almost 3 years old and weighs close to 100 lbs, but he’s still very much a baby in our eyes. We are so grateful for anything you can do to help Obi heal and bring hope back to our family.
