Oasis is my 9-10 month old pet, and he means everything to me. This morning, while we were in the bathroom together, he suddenly started having severe cough attacks. I was terrified and quickly looked up his symptoms, only to find out that it could be something fatal. Without wasting any time, I rushed him to the emergency vet, desperate to get him the help he needed.

When we arrived, I learned that because I couldn't pay anything upfront, the vet wouldn't even let me know what was going on with Oasis. They demanded I paid 2165 up front just for the visit and for them to operate on him. They put him on oxygen for 20 mins, that was the only thing they were able to do but we got lucky with that because we weren’t charged at all for the 20 mins. They said we were lucky they were putting him on oxygen right now with no payment down. I used my last bit of money for gas getting him to the next town for this emergency visit. After that they said we need to pay the money within 5-10 because they will then charge us for oxygen. The vet said our only two options in this whole world would be to pay 2k to get him any kind of care or the other option they gave us would be to euthanizing him. Without saying if that would cost money. Then because we weren’t able to come up with anything, they brought him out to my car while I sat there making calls, trying to get a loan, but I couldn't qualify because I am very low income. He’s been home under my supervision since. I aching inside. I'm only 18 and still trying to finish my senior year of high school. I live with my elder grand parents. My grandmother is currently in/out of the emergency room. The thought of losing Oasis simply because we can’t afford his care is devastating.

Oasis is my best friend and my emotional support baby. He is still just a baby himself, and he deserves a chance to recover and live a happy, healthy life. The funds raised will go directly toward covering his emergency vet bills and any future treatments he may need. Absolutely anything helps. Your support would mean the world to both of us.
