Help Oakley with Top Surgery Recovery!

Hello! The sweet human you see above is OAKLEY (they/them) and they got TOP SURGERY on September 6th! They started the process back in the spring of 2021, and so they're super excited that it's finally happening.

The recovery process has been hard, though. Oakley's going through some big health issues; their chronic illness prompted dozens of hospital visits over the past yaer. All of the blood draws and brain scans have been difficult on the mind, body, and wallet.

 

Despite all of this, Oakley has remained their lovely goofy self. They love plants, tattoos, and holistic community healing. They spend time on mutual aid projects and re-watching Twilight.

Oakley needed two weeks of bed rest and is continuing to physically and emotionally recover following the surgery. During this time, they haven't been able to work, and they've required a significant amount of at-home care and assistance. Needless to say, their life has been chaotic to navigate.

 

They're hoping that the surgery and recovery will continue to go smoothly, but recent experience has proven that we can't make any assumptions about Oakley's health. Your donation will help cover living expenses during recovery, post-op care, and any additional healthcare costs that come up.
