Oakley is a beloved member of the Prisk family, known for his huge, funny personality and the joy he brings to everyone around him. He’s always ready to make people smile, whether he’s playing with his favorite flirt pole, swimming, leaping as high as he can, or running with his dog siblings. Oakley has grown up surrounded by love and holds a truly special place in all our hearts.

Recently, Oakley has been facing some serious medical issues that aren’t fully diagnosed yet. He’s been experiencing low energy, not eating, and just hasn’t been himself. This is very unexpected as Oakley is only two and a half years young. This has led to a series of emergency room visits, regular vet appointments, and a lot of tests as his family and veterinarians work to find answers. The uncertainty and worry have been tough on everyone who cares about him.

The mounting vet bills are causing financial stress for Oakley’s family, but their top priority is making sure he gets every test and all the care he needs—without having to worry about the cost. UPDATE: Update: Oakley has unfortunately been diagnosed with large cell lymphoma, the aggressive kind. He is back home with his family where he belongs and is feeling much better overall. His calcium levels are looking stable as he is on medications to help with the cancer for now!

Oakley attended his first oncology appointment Wednesday to discuss treatment options and they are trying to decide what is worth putting him through.

This is just the beginning to a long road.
