God’s Little Warrior: Baby Oakland

Holding onto faith, love, and peace as we walk this journey with our precious boy.

Our precious boy, Oakland, has shown more courage in his short life than we could ever imagine. It has been a difficult time for his parents, Josh and Amanda as well as the whole family. At just 13 days old, he was diagnosed with meningitis and spent 46 long days in the NICU fighting to stay with us. We later learned the infection caused severe bilateral brain damage, known as cystic encephalomalacia, leading to seizures, feeding difficulties, and challenges that his little body can no longer overcome.

After months of fighting, Oakland’s doctors have given him a prognosis of less than six months. He is now home under hospice care, where their only goal is to keep him comfortable and surrounded by love, cuddles, and peace.

We are asking for help to ease the financial burden of medical bills and future funeral expenses as we prepare to say goodbye far too soon. Your prayers, love, and support mean more than words can ever express. Thank you for helping us honor Oakland’s beautiful life and cherish every moment we have left with him.
