Super Bowl Sunday was not so super for Nyx, a 4-year-old phantom golden doodle who means the world to her owner, Jillian, and to me. As people were arriving at Jillian’s home, Nyx slipped out the door and ran into the street, where she was struck by a speeding car. The impact left Nyx with severe injuries to her head and face, including deep lacerations and swelling. She required stitches to her mouth and is now facing a long road to recovery, with ongoing pain and trauma from the accident.

Jillian is a devoted pet parent who always puts Nyx’s needs first, but the unexpected medical bills are overwhelming. Nyx’s treatment has already included emergency vet visits, stitches, medication, and special food to help her heal. There are still more vet appointments and care ahead as she recovers from her injuries. Jillian is not the type to ask for help, so I am stepping in because I love Nyx as if she were my own. I want to make sure Jillian and Nyx have the support they need during this difficult time.
