My name is Nyron McLaughlin, and I was born and raised in Jamaica. I am humbly asking for support to help my family and members of our community rebuild after the devastating impact of Hurricane Melissa. I currently live in the United States, where I work in the healthcare system as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room. Prior to becoming a nurse, I served in the military and worked as a high school teacher—experiences that shaped my deep commitment to service and caring for others.

My family remains in Jamaica, where the storm severely damaged our home and affected many of our neighbors, leaving people displaced and struggling to meet basic needs. While we are grateful that everyone survived, the road to recovery is long and overwhelming. The funds raised will go directly toward repairing our family home, replacing essential items, and supporting others in our community who were also impacted.
