Help Nylysha and Allen's Family Keep Their Home

Donation protected
Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Meet Nylysha and Allen Aradon, and their four kids: Alzavion, AJ, Zachariah, and Allen Jr. This resilient family has faced more than their fair share of challenges, having been separated, reunified, and forced to fight for their rights through an unjust system. Despite these hardships, they remain united and determined to protect the home they have worked so hard to rebuild.

Years ago, shortly after the birth of their child, AJ, Nylysha and Allen’s world was turned upside down when AJ was taken from them by the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF). For six long years, they fought against a system fraught with misconduct and bias. Their story gained attention when it was featured in a King 5 investigation that exposed the unethical actions of a volunteer guardian ad litem (VGAL), who spied on defense strategies and used that information against parents.

Their case made it to the Washington Court of Appeals, which ruled that the VGAL program had committed egregious misconduct. The court reversed the termination of their parental rights and ordered a new trial outside of Snohomish County due to its proven bias. The court’s critical opinion led to the dismantling of the flawed VGAL program and the establishment of a new, independent program.

The scandal found its way into media coverage here:

Finally, free from the VGAL’s interference, Nylysha and Allen were deemed fit parents and AJ was returned to their custody. Since then, they have worked tirelessly to create a loving and supportive home for their children. The family enjoys regular movie nights, cooking together, and biking when the weather is nice.

However, the prolonged legal battle took a significant toll on the family’s mental and financial well-being. Now, they are facing another crisis. A couple of months behind on rent, they recently received an eviction notice. They have just two weeks to pay the current and back rent or face losing their home.

This family has endured more than most, battling a system that should have protected them. They have shown incredible resilience and strength, but now they need our help. Nylysha, Allen, and their children deserve the stability and security of their home.

Please consider donating to help the Aradon and Hayes family pay off their rent and avoid eviction. Your generosity can make a crucial difference, providing the support that the state failed to offer and ensuring that this loving family can stay together in their home.

This family is not just seeking a handout; they are striving to get back on their feet. With a little support from compassionate individuals like you, we can help them through this difficult time. The funds raised will go directly towards covering their overdue rent and essential living expenses, giving them the stability they need to rebuild their lives.

Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a tremendous difference. Together, we can prevent this loving family from becoming homeless and show them that they are not alone in this struggle.

Thank you for your compassion and support.
