Hi everyone, my name is Nyla, and I’m excited to share an important opportunity in my life with you.

I will be graduating from Alabama State University in May with a bachelor’s degree in communication. During my time at Alabama State, the university has truly pushed me out of my comfort zone and blessed me with opportunities I never imagined. Although I dedicated much of my undergraduate studies to journalism, I have decided to pursue a future in law.

I’ve been accepted into the LEX Fellowship Program, a pre-law program that prepares students for law school through training, mentorship, and professional development abroad. Being accepted into this program means so much to me because it represents the first step toward the future I’ve been working for.

I never imagined I would have the opportunity to study abroad, but through this fellowship, that opportunity has become possible. Right now, I need support to make it happen. I am required to pay a program fee soon to secure my spot, and I will also need help with housing, food, and study materials while I participate in the program.

I don’t take asking for help lightly, but I truly believe in this dream and in the work I hope to do as a future lawyer. Any donation, no matter the size, would mean more than you know. If you’re not able to give, sharing this fundraiser or simply showing support also means a lot.
