Nyla is my 6-year-old Australian shepherd mix, and she means the world to me. She is playful, protective, sweet, and so loving. She thinks she’s a small dog, loves cuddles, belly rubs, and head rubs, and always finds a way to get as close as possible just to be touched and loved on. Right now, Nyla has a mammary tumor, which is the equivalent of breast cancer in a female dog, and she needs surgery to have it removed. Hearing that news has been heartbreaking, especially because I know how scary and urgent pet medical emergencies can be.

I never thought I would have to ask for help like this, but after everything I went through with my previous dog, Benji, I am in a difficult place. I did everything I could for him, and in the process I went into so much debt that I recently completed a bankruptcy case. Now I am facing another emergency with Nyla, and I do not want finances to stand in the way of getting her the care she needs.
