Help NYC Healthcare Workers Commute Safely

New York City employs over half a million healthcare workers . In a city hit hard by the Covid-19 crisis, those workers are toiling around the clock to provide care, often at great risk to their own health. We want to help simplify at least one hazard for those brave frontline workers: commuting.
One such health worker, physician Simran Gill MD, recently reached out to us with a request for help. From Doctor Gill, we learned about the hidden commuting risks facing him and other healthcare workers across New York. In a city famous for its shared transit infrastructure, many essential workers face hazardous conditions and social distancing challenges on city buses and subways just to get to work saving lives.
When Doctor Gill informed us about the severity of the situation, we knew we needed to help. We immediately sprang into action and sent ten scooters to Doctor Gill and his colleagues at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. As you can see in the attached video, the scooters really helped.
While Doctor Gill and his colleagues can now get to work a little easier, there are still thousands of NYC healthcare workers who need YOUR help to secure a safe commute. We're raising money to send Unagi Model One scooters to as many NYC healthcare workers as possible, starting with New York-Presbyterian in Brooklyn and hard-hit Jack D. Weiler Hospital and Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx.
All money raised will go to scooters for NYC healthcare workers. That means procuring scooters AT COST. We will not profit in any way on these scooters.
