We are reaching out to you today on behalf of our beloved Nyabihu school for deaf children, as we embark on a crucial fundraising campaign. Our primary special needs school has faithfully served countless deaf students over the last 11 years, offering them a safe and nurturing environment where they can thrive academically and emotionally. However, we now face an exciting and pivotal moment in our institution's history, as we strive to transition into an inclusive secondary school.

The founder of our school, Mr. Louis NGABONZIZA, was a remarkable individual who dedicated his life to the education and wellbeing of deaf children. His vision of providing a holistic learning environment for deaf students, irrespective of their age, was one that he held close to his heart until his recent passing. It was his number one priority to expand the school into a fully inclusive ordinary level secondary school, offering deaf children a seamless educational journey from primary to secondary education. Transitioning into a secondary school is essential as it enables us to nurture and build upon the remarkable potential of our students, not just in their academic pursuits but also in their personal growth. With an inclusive secondary school, we can empower our students to become confident, independent individuals who can contribute fully to the Rwandan society. The need for an inclusive secondary school that caters specifically to the needs of deaf children is a pressing one, as it ensures that they receive the specialized support and opportunities they deserve.

To make this dream a reality, we need your support. Our main challenge lies in acquiring a new piece of land that will allow us to expand our facilities and accommodate the growing number of students who wish to continue their education with us. This land will not only provide adequate classrooms but also recreational spaces and specialized equipment needed to enrich the learning experience of our students. We are grateful that we have already made significant progress toward our fundraising target, thanks to the generous contributions from individual supporters of our school who have helped us raise £ 5,730 so far. However, to fully achieve our goal, we are launching this additional fundraiser to bridge the remaining gap.
