Hello Everyone,

I am fundraising on behalf of Laughing Leopard Hostel Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka.

We have been in business in this region for the past 8 years, hiring only local people, supporting their families and being an active part of the community.

As most of you would be aware Sri Lanka has faced an unprecedented natural disaster Cyclone Ditwah causing flash flooding. Nuwara Eliya was one of the hardest hit regions in the country due to mass landslides.

We are asking for support to help provide relief to the local community who have lost their homes, livelihoods and are now having to rebuild with no access to resources as all access into the area has been destroyed. Thousands of residents have been displaced, have lost loved ones and still have family members missing.

Any donation big or small would be greatly appreciated in our efforts to-

Purchase supplies such as rice and lentils for local families.

Provide clean bottled drinking water.

Supply sanitary pads and supplies to local woman.

Help those who have lost their homes to rebuild.

Reconstruction of the local drainage systems.

Feed street dogs and other animals affected.

We hope Nuwara Eliya will soon be back to the beautiful town we know and love after such a devastating event but it will take a lot of time and outreach support for this community to recover.
