Help Nutella Heal After Tragic Accident

Today, my 16-month-old miniature dachshund, Nutella, was tragically hit by a car. The piercing cry that escaped her mouth immediately after the impact sent shivers down my spine, filling me with fear and dread. We rushed her to the vet, who were incredibly kind and compassionate. Within minutes of our arrival, they informed us that a $600 deposit was required to initiate the necessary x-rays and ultrasounds, which are the initial steps in assessing the damage.

Currently, I’m facing financial difficulties. I’m starting a new job next Monday, but it could take weeks before I receive my paycheck. The doctor informed us that she had checked Nutella’s lungs and belly and didn’t find any fluid around those areas, which is a positive sign. However, she also heard some clicking in her right shoulder, which is concerning because Nutella’s paw is swollen, and she’s worried that it might be broken as well.

The doctor provided me with a verbal estimate of anywhere from $2,100 and upwards for the cost of setting and casting Nutella’s broken arm. If surgeries were involved, the number would undoubtedly increase. Unfortunately, I don’t have that kind of money. The $235 I spent today left me with only $12 in my bank account.

In light of this dire situation, I’m reaching out to see if anyone knows of any clinics or nonprofits that might be able to help Nutella alleviate her pain and provide treatment for her arm. Alternatively, I’m hoping that they might be willing to offer a payment plan or significantly reduce the cost. Nutella has been a source of comfort and support throughout one of the most challenging years of my life. My mother had just passed away, and my identical twin sister had passed shortly before my mother. Nutella had been there for me during those difficult times, offering comfort and companionship when I needed it most. I want to show Nutella the unconditional love that she showed me by helping her now.
