Support for Tammy Barton’s Fight Against CIDP
Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out to ask for prayers and support for Tammy Barton, a compassionate nurse at Baptist Health Corbin, who has dedicated her life to caring for others. Now, Tammy is facing a health battle of her own.
Recently, Tammy was diagnosed with Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP) — a rare autoimmune disorder similar to Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS). CIDP causes the immune system to attack the protective covering of the nerves, leading to severe weakness, tremors, paralysis, and other neurological challenges.
Unfortunately, Tammy’s body hasn’t responded well to treatments so far, and her condition has continued to progress. Despite the hardships, Tammy remains steadfast in her faith and determined to face this journey with hope, courage, and strength.
In her own words:
“Even though this has been the most challenging time of my life, God has still blessed me with the best support group that loves me unconditionally, encourages me daily, reminds me that this is just temporary, and never lets me give up on myself. I’m determined to face this journey with faith, hope, and strength, and I trust that God will guide me through this.”
As Tammy continues her fight, we want to help alleviate some of the financial burdens associated with ongoing medical treatments, travel expenses, and time away from work.
Your donations, prayers, and words of encouragement mean more than you know. Every bit helps Tammy focus on what matters most — her recovery and healing.
Thank you all for your love, support, and positive thoughts.
Please donate and share to support Tammy’s journey.
