Help Nurse Sandy Heal from Wildervanck Syndrome

Hi dear friends and family, My name is Cecilia Pham and I am starting this GoFundMe page to raise funds for my good friend Sandy Tran during this tough time.

 

Any amount will help, but more importantly please keep Sandy in your thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery so she can go back to doing what she loves the most –being a pediatric nurse. The donations will help Sandy pay for her medical treatment, medical insurance, transportation, and housing. Sandy’s current employer is no longer contributing to her medical insurance so Sandy’s out-of-pocket is $800-$900/month. Considering that it’s the end of the month, rent, loans, car payments, utilities are due so I hope this GoFundMe will send Sandy a little prayer from the angels to help.

 

Recently, Sandy required emergency spinal surgery for an underlying bone condition called Klippel-Feil Syndrome –where one of my vertebrae did not separate at birth. Her MRI showed that the bones around her fusion has broken by more than 50% and pushed against her spinal cord significantly. Sandy was deteriorating rapidly, losing her ability to walk straight, swallow, and function. Anyone who has met Sandy, could not tell she was affected by this. Sandy is a fighter; a true grit.
