In Memory of Liza Castillo-Beloved Bay Area Nurse
Donation protected
On the morning of May 5th, 2025 my aunt Liza was diagnosed with a rare form of thyroid cancer with a 4% survival rate. She has a stage 4c Anaplastic Thyroid Carcenoma, she spent her adult life helping others as a nurse in the Bay Area and now she is the one humbly needing help.
Unfortunately, the cancer is advanced and has already spread to the lining of her lungs, liver, and bones. In the coming months, my aunt Liza and our family will be in the fight for her life as she starts immunotherapy and any other treatments or procedures her medical team recommends.
She has proudly served the Bay Area as a nurse since 2006 and has been the primary caregiver for my 85 year old grandmother with advanced dementia. After a month long stay in the hospital battling multiple complications and radiation 5 times a week, Liza still has so much fight left in her.
All proceeds raised will go towards immunotherapy and transportation via ambulance to and from appointments as she is physically too weak to go from wheelchair to car to radiation table.
If there was ever a time where you've considered donating but haven't, this is your time to make a difference in someone's life. On behalf of my aunt, and our family we graciously thank you for any support even if it’s a share on social media.
