Help Nurse Josette breathe!

I have a friend.

A friend who is young, beautiful, kind and pure. She's also short in height and whenever I have the opportunity I always remind her of that and she gets sooo annoyed Such an amazing thing to watch!! But, even though she's small in size her greatness, her strength and heart are LARGER THAN LIFE!

My friend is also a nurse ‍⚕️

That's how I met her! I still remember her very first shift as a registered nurse. I was her supervisor. She looked so tiny in that oversized royal blue uniform, the top could have been a dress not a top However, she looked so cute and pretty

She looked after so many patients as a stroke nurse. Josette always made sure that all her patients were washed, fed, medicated and mobilised. Furthermore, Josette listened to them, talked to them, put a smile on their face. The definition of what holistic care is!

She learned that from her beloved mother. A nurse who lost her life from breast cancer a few years ago.

Arghhh cancer....

Two years ago Josette, was diagnosed with sarcoma on her leg. Sarcoma is a type of bone and soft tissue cancer. The tumor was so large and aggressive, they had to amputate her leg. But, as I said earlier for her size she's a quite strong young lady! And with her partner's, family and friends' support she came through. She got her prosthetic leg and during the pandemic and all these restrictions and barriers, Josette went through a lot of physiotherapy sessions until she got to a point that she could continue to enjoy her life to the fullest and get her personal and work life back!

Although, destiny had different plans...

Cancer came back and it metastasized onto her lungs.

In January, the tumors were only small in size, but scattered around both lungs... She's on a third chemotherapy drug because the first two (and strongest) did not work. Some tumors decreased in size, but some just seem to get bigger and bigger. Regardless of how this is going, Josette and ourselves hope for the best!!! ❤️

Miracles can happen!

All I ask is to give some money to help Josette to cover her basic needs if you can or help in any other way. Currently, the only money she's receiving is the personal independence payment, but all that amount goes to the bills. Her partner and family can give her some financial support, but it still doesn't cover everything. Furthermore, it would be nice for Josette to have some money to spend on herself to raise her spirit up and improve her self-esteem, so she can continue to FIGHT!!

Even, the smallest amount can make a huge difference to my friend's Josette's life!
