Hi, my name is Nuix
I was once a little street puppy in El Salvador — scared, sick, and alone.
Then some people found me and brought me to my new mom… or maybe I found her cause she clearly needed my help as well.
Either way, we saved each other!
We lived in El Salvador for a while, and then I followed her aaaall the way across the ocean to Belgium and became her home when life felt heavy on her.
I stayed by her side through dark days and it became my purpose to love her with everything I have, showing her that running freely at the beach, playing with friends and chasing the sunset is key to a happy life!
But after a recent trip to the vet a lot quickly changed...
I’m only 5 years old, but my hips are very sick.
I have severe hip dysplasia and arthrosis, which means I can’t run, jump, or play like I used to.
Some days I don’t understand why my body won’t listen to me. I still want to chase sunsets and greet my family with my whole body wagging, but I can't anymore, because with one wrong movement my right hip can luxate, and the left one won't hold it together for long either.
The doctors say I urgently need two new hips so I can walk and play again. Each one costs €6,000, and my mom wants to save me, but she can’t afford it alone.
I gave my mom a life full of love and safety, and she gave me that too.
Now she’s asking the world to help her give me my legs back.
If you can donate a little, or share my story, or send love and prayers: thank you from the bottom of my biiiiig heart.
I just want to run again whenever my mom is, and wag my tail like I used to so the world can see that I'm happy to be alive!
High paw and a bunch of wagging love,
Nuix & Lo
