We’re reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for help for our sweet boy, Nugget, aka Nuggy, Bubba, Doo-Doo Boy. My best friend, adventure buddy, and my soul dog ❤️

A few weeks ago, we noticed a small cut inside his mouth, but we didn’t think much of it. Fast forward to last week—while playing outside, we saw blood in the snow. When we checked, that “cut” had turned into an angry, ulcerated mass.

After rushing him to the vet for a biopsy, we got the results: Nugget has acanthomatous ameloblastoma, a benign but highly aggressive and invasive oral tumor. Because of its location and destructive nature, he will need a partial or full mandibulectomy (removal of part of his lower jaw) to stop it from spreading further.

We’re heartbroken but ready to do whatever it takes to give Nugget the best chance at a happy, pain-free life. However, this surgery comes with a huge financial burden—around $12,000, even after our pet insurance and discounts.

Nugget’s surgery consult is on March 3rd, and we’re hoping to raise funds to ensure we can move forward without delay. If you can donate any amount at all, we’d be incredibly grateful. If you’re unable to donate, please share this post to help us reach more people who might be able to help.
