Nu Aria is an all-gender pop a cappella group formed in the Fall of 2022 at Mt. San Antonio College. With roots reaching back to the all-male award-winning ensemble formerly known as Fermata Nowhere (2009 ICCA International Winner), we are proud to come from a junior community college that allows for a diverse group of singers with varying ages, backgrounds, and educational goals. Our group is united by a love of music and performing, creating a unique voice and offering students the chance to make lasting memories and find family at a 2-year college.
Since our creation in 2022, Nu Aria has competed in ICCA 2023, 2024, and 2025, earning recognition for our hard work. Members have previously won Outstanding Vocal Percussionist and Outstanding Soloist in 2022, and Outstanding Arrangement in last year’s quarterfinals. As we continue to connect through student-written arrangements and expressive choreography, we look brightly toward the future, bringing “fresh wind” with our sound and energy.
This year, we are raising funds to cover transportation and housing for an upcoming competition. Planning for all 18 members is a challenge, especially with limited funds. Your support will ensure that every member has the chance to participate, regardless of their personal financial situation. Not having to worry about the costs will allow us to focus on performing our best and representing Mt. San Antonio College with pride. We would be so grateful for your support—every donation, big or small, brings us closer to our goal and means the world to us.
