Help NTA Students Save Migratory Birds
Donation protected
On October 5, 2023 hundreds of kids were excitedly waiting in line to go to school. At the same time, thousands of migratory birds were returning to the ground to rest after their nighttime migration flight. What those children witnessed was the unfortunate hazard that buildings have on our bird populations. As helpless onlookers, kids watched birds fly into the building and fall dead at their feet.

A handful of the dead birds collected one a single morning at NTA.
Our school, National Teachers Academy (NTA) has a second story bridge that connects one building to another. The walls of the bridge are clear windows. The bridge is along the path for migratory birds, and twice a year dozens, if not hundreds of birds collide with the bridge and die. The Peace Club, is on a mission to stop these preventable deaths. The students have been researching what causes the birds to collide with the glass, the environmental impact of so many birds perishing, and the solutions to this problem. They are committed to raising both awareness about the issue, and money to purchase a film that goes on the outside of the glass, stopping the birds from flying into the windows.

The students are the main driver behind this project. It is through their efforts that they intend to make a meaningful contribution to the betterment of NTA and the community at large. By helping fund this project, you will be empowering the students to be self-sufficient, and capable of independently solving problems. These students are poised to be our leaders of the future.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and we hope you consider donating to this project!
