Help Nova Heal Before Her Kittens Arrive

Nova is my sweet black domestic shorthair who has always been a quiet, independent presence in my life. I found her through a friend, and she’s become a cherished part of my days—she loves playing with her toys and relaxing on her own, showing affection in her own gentle ways. Nova is currently pregnant, and I’ve been looking forward to welcoming her kittens soon.

Recently, I discovered a painful scab on Nova that quickly turned into an open, infected abscess. The wound became very serious, and I took her to the vet for an exam. The vet created a medical plan for surgery and treatment, but the cost is more than I can afford right now. It’s heartbreaking to see Nova struggle, especially as her pregnancy makes everything more difficult. She’s still eating and acting like herself, but I know the abscess is weighing on her and could affect her and her kittens’ health as her due date approaches.
