My name is Lauren Marquez, & I come to everyone to please ask for help with bringing our sweet Nova, our family Australian Shepard of 8 years back to us & in good health. On Saturday (not sure what time), Nova was bitten by a rattlesnake on her hind leg, we were able to get her to our nearest vet clinic to receive emergency treatment as soon as we learned that she was not acting herself and her entire back leg was swollen. She’s been under care at our vet clinic since Saturday afternoon. They have been running antibiotics, antivenom, IVs, all while monitoring her leg and the affected area where she was bitten. She has received so far, 1 vial of antivenom thus far, & although we had received news that the swelling had gone down, the Dr has informed us that swelling is coming back, she has spiked a fever of 105. They are running more tests and have given us all the options we have for continued treatment for our sweet girl…some of the options are not only expensive but some are even unthinkable. one of them being another vial of antivenom and/or in a more severe case blood transfusions. Anything to help with her continued treatments is appreciated, at this point we are continuing to pray & be hopeful that what is being done so far will help her improve. If you can donate, thank you!
