Nova has been by my side for four years, ever since I adopted her during a really rough period in my life. She’s not just my pet—she’s my best friend and my baby. Nova has a way of making every day brighter, whether she’s giving the best cuddles or gently hitting me in the face when I’m crying (her own special way of wiping away my tears).

Recently, Nova developed a lump under her eye, and the vet says she needs to be sedated and have surgery in her mouth to find out what’s going on. The cost of the procedure is overwhelming, especially since I’m a college student working a minimum wage job. I want to do everything I can for Nova, but I can’t do it alone.
