Nova has always been a loving, high-energy companion, bringing so much joy and light into my life. Just a week ago, she was her usual playful self, but her health has declined rapidly and unexpectedly. Nova is only a year out from recovering from a previous injury, and she just celebrated her 8th birthday on February 6th. She has so much life ahead of her, and it breaks my heart to think of losing her so young.

After noticing her sudden change, I took Nova to the vet, where she was diagnosed with lymphoma. We are now in the process of getting more tests to determine the best treatment options for her, including the possibility of joining clinical studies. The costs have already become significant just for diagnostics, and I can only imagine what the procedures and ongoing care will add up to. The funds raised will go directly toward Nova’s treatment, and if it comes to it, will also help provide her with the most compassionate end-of-life care possible.

I feel a lot of guilt that I can’t handle these expenses on my own, but I know I have to do everything I can for Nova. She is an incredible dog, and I truly believe she wouldn’t be here today if I hadn’t taken her in as a puppy. While it’s difficult to ask for financial support, I will do it every time for Nova, because she deserves a chance to live. Any support, no matter how small, would mean the world to us.
