Hi, I'm Nova! I'm 24 and local to Dayton for a year now.
At the end of July, I began a new job. When I was hired, they promised me a minimum of 30 hours per week, with the potential of full time and overtime. Since beginning, however, I have never been scheduled more than 20. I had left a more stable job to be here and this has been a catastrophic outcome. I have fallen behind on bills and rent and taken some amount of debt to get by, but I am unfortunately down to the wire and low on options this late into the month.
I split up August's rent through Livble, hoping that I would have more hours with the better income at this job to pay that, but have only managed to pay half of it. I have $352 remaining on that split to be paid off. Beyond that, September's rent is fast approaching, $700 that I do not have. I have also neglected bills this month, I anticipate my internet will be cut off today and my electric is going to collections soon. It's a lot of money needed with not a lot of time to make it.
I have pursued options with local charities, but I do not meet eligibility requirements as it is either too late for them to help, or they do not help non-parents. I have pursued loans, but they want collateral which I am unable to provide. I'm sadly low on options, so I am asking for help.
Every last dollar contributed means the world to me, I am backed into a corner here and each helping hand is monumental. If you can contribute, I thank you with all my heart.
