For Dearest Nour, Mohammed, Mira, Hala, and Tia
Hi from Ireland,
My name is Róisín, and together with my friends Frank, Emily, and others, we are raising funds to directly support our dear friend Nour in Gaza—a mother of three beautiful daughters, including twin girls born during the war.
We are sending funds directly to help Nour provide the bare necessities to keep her family alive. Our current goal is to raise enough for:
A solar panel and fan to keep her babies cool
Emergency evacuation costs
Repairs to their partially damaged home, so they can live safely again
Frank is listed as the beneficiary because Nour doesn’t have access to international banking, but we’ve created a trusted chain of people to get the money directly to her.

My Story – Nour’s Story
I’m Nour, a mother of three daughters—my eldest, Mira, is three years old, and my twins are just one year and four months. They have spent their entire lives in war. Mira has spent half her life under bombing and hunger.
I gave birth to my twin girls during this horrific war, while tanks surrounded the hospital and bombs echoed above. I had no baby clothes, no clean water, and no safety—only fear and pain.
We were displaced from our home in the north and lived in a tent in southern Gaza for 10 months. Life in the tent was unbearable: suffocating heat, freezing cold, snakes, insects, and rain that soaked everything we owned.
Recently, we returned to our home in northern Gaza, but it’s only partially standing. It was damaged by bombing and is not fully safe or livable—it desperately needs repairs so we can live in dignity again.
The bombing is getting worse every day. And now—after more than two months of border closure—there is no flour to make bread. I’ve started grinding pasta to make something for my girls to eat. Mira asks me daily for fruit, juice, or even chocolate. She’s just three—but I have nothing to offer her. The markets are empty, and even when something appears, it’s too expensive to afford.
There are no diapers, no baby formula, no vaccines, no medical care. My daughters are growing up in fear instead of love, dust instead of toys, war instead of peace. I dream of giving them a normal childhood, but each day we only survive by a thread.
I’ve lost my job. I’ve lost loved ones. All I want is to fix our home and protect my daughters.
Please, I am begging you—help me feed my girls, help us repair our life, and help us escape this nightmare.
We love life—deeply. That’s why we are still holding on. But we cannot do it without you.
Darling little Mira found a pregnant cat and she's such a sweet little girl, she is looking after it.
