My name is Vittoria, and I am from the United States. This fundraiser is to help Nour (@nour._.haitham on IG) and her family, who are currently trapped in Gaza and looking to escape Gaza for Egypt. With the help of Nour’s cousin, Khaled Sahar (@save.khaled on IG, was originally @khaled_sahar2 on IG before), we were able to create and set up this fundraiser to raise funds for Nour and her family and save them from what has been going on in Gaza.

Including Nour, Nour’s family includes the following family members:

3) Malak Haitham Samara (Sister)

4) Besan Haitham Samara (Sister)

5) Ahmed Haitham Samara (Brother)

Here is Nour’s story in her own words below:

“Welcome, my name is Nour from Gaza City. I am 20 years old. I study multimedia and web development in my third year study at university. I have a dream and a goal that I seek to achieve. I have a family consisting of my father, who is 49 years old, unemployed, and my mother, who is 40 years old, a housewife. I have 3 sisters. My older sister, Zekra, is 21 years old. She works in a hairdresser to help my family with household expenses. My sister, Malak, is 17 years old. She studies in school, and my younger sister, Bisan, is 6 years old. I also have one brother named Ahmed, who is 12 years old.

Our quiet life has turned into war and destruction. We live in the unknown. My family and I are one of the survivors of this cruel war. The occupation deliberately bombs, kills, and forces us to leave our home. We live homeless. There is no safe place for us. The brutal occupation destroyed my city in which I live.

My university, where I was studying diligently, was bombed, as there was not much time left until I graduated from university, and I am now without studying. My sisters also had their schools destroyed. Our dreams have turned into destruction. I humbly address you, dear souls, with a request for help. Your generosity can make a huge difference in our lives, which helps me and my family to secure the necessary funds for coordination and travel to a safe place that enables me and my sisters to achieve my dreams and study. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to a safe and peaceful future.”

Our fundraising goal for Nour and her family is $50,500 USD, which includes the following:

1) The coordination prices for travel and arrival to Egypt:

2) Due to the transaction fees used for collecting donations from GoFundMe, the cost of that will be an estimated $10,500 total. GoFundMe transaction fees per donation are 0.29% + $0.30.

3) In case taxes are involved when collecting donations for this fundraiser, the cost of that will be an estimated $10,000. If the money is not collected by GoFundMe for taxes and is included in the donation amount, these proceeds will be included for travel and basic needs for Nour and her family.

So, to total it up, we get:

$25,000 + $5,000 = $30,000

$30,000 + $10,500 = $40,500

$40,500 + $10,000 = $50,500

Once our fundraising goal is reached, all proceeds needed for Nour and her family will be given to Khaled, who will then help to give Nour and her family their funds. With the help of Khaled and also Nour’s and Khaled’s cousin, Ahmed Younis (who currently lives in the UAE), Nour and her family will work to coordinate the evacuation process for her and her family through the travel company Ya Hala Company to travel outside Gaza into Egypt.
