UPDATE: Thank you all so much for your help -- Nour has completed her first semester and is preparing for her second. Because she is on a student visa, it is still difficult for her to raise funds for daily necessities in Malaysia. I have updated the goal of the fundraiser to help her as much as possible.
I know there is a lot of need right now. Everything is, well, a lot. All the time. If you have five bucks to spare, please consider helping my friend.
Stay strong, friends, and thank you. <3

ORIGINAL:
I am helping my friend Nour fundraise to be able to finish paying her university fees. Nour needs help quickly and has been through quite a lot. She is studying to earn her master degree in English language education.
I met Nour last year through online tutoring. I've gotten to know her and how hard she has worked to make her dream of studying possible despite the extreme difficulty and horrors she has gone through; she has been in Cairo with her younger sister since evacuating, and her parents and brother are still in Gaza, and their home has been destroyed. Any support you can share would mean a lot to me -- this is a person I know personally who has worked very hard to stay optimistic and continue pursuing her education in the face of some of the worst tragedy imaginable.
Nour sent me a blurb to introduce herself below:
--------------------------
Hello, my name is Nour Murtaja. I am a Palestinian student from Gaza who has survived the war and is now trying to rebuild my future through education. I am currently living in Cairo after being forced to evacuate last year. Despite losing almost everything, I have been accepted to study at the Islamic International University in Malaysia.
Unfortunately, I cannot afford the tuition and living expenses on my own. I urgently need $1,000 by September 15 to secure my place and continue my studies. This money will go towards my housing and final tuition fees. This opportunity means a chance for safety, hope, and a better future.
Your support, no matter how small, will make a huge difference in helping me achieve my dream of education after the hardships I have faced.
Thank you for standing with me.
