Our names are Noemi Sandoval and Edali Martínez. We both come from social work backgrounds and are the founders of Education Without Borders.
Since the beginning of the federal occupation, we have been dedicated to supporting our community and responding to the urgent needs families have faced during this time.
While we continue to provide rent assistance to help families remain safely housed, our immediate focus has shifted toward the children in our community.
Many of our youth have been directly affected by ICE raids in their communities. They have missed weeks of school, living in constant fear that if they walk out the door, they may come home to an empty house. Some have witnessed their parents being taken away in front of them. Others have been forcibly separated from their families without warning. Many have endured bullying at school and frightening encounters with federal agents at their bus stops, experiences no child should ever have to face.
Now, it is up to us to help pick up the broken pieces of the pain and trauma imposed on our children who have done nothing wrong but exist in a system that was not built to protect them.
We are raising funds to provide critical mental health and tutoring services to these youth. The trauma they carry is heavy, and without proper support, it will continue to impact their emotional well-being and academic futures. These services are costly, and without adequate insurance coverage, many families simply cannot afford them.
Our goal is to connect these children with compassionate, culturally responsive care so they can begin to process their experiences, rebuild their sense of safety, and regain stability in their education.
Your donation will directly fund therapy sessions, academic tutoring, and safe, supportive spaces for children who are carrying fear no child should have to carry.
If you are unable to give, please share this fundraiser. Spreading the word is just as powerful.
They deserve healing.
They deserve support.
They deserve a future free from fear.
