Help North Vietnam Recover from Typhoon Yagi

Donation protected
We need your help! Super Typhoon Yagi made landfall in Vietnam on September 8th, 2024. The torrential rain and winds were the worst in over 30 years and have caused landslides and flash flooding, leaving over 155 dead and countless homes and farms destroyed.

Super Typhoon Yagi primarily impacted North Vietnam, including the Northwest Highlands, a predominantly agricultural area with mostly indigenous communities. We need your help to fundraise to help our friends get back on their feet and rebuild homes.

My name is Daniel and I have worked with farming families and local government agencies in the greater Lao Cai region for over 7 years on agriculture and community development and now run a small distillery in Vietnam (most of you might know me in this capacity).

I will donate directly to families and local organizations (e.g. District Departments of Agriculture who manage distribution of funds for crop loss) in Lao Cai Province in areas such as Si Ma Cai with a specific focus on farming households who on top of household damage have extensive crop damage. I will transfer donations received to Vietnam via wire transfer to the appropriate local Vietnamese bank accounts. All of which have transfer receipts. We have local staff members who are also continually monitoring the situation on the ground and reconstruction status.

The exact toll will be calculated as flooding recedes and search and rescue efforts can become more thorough. Anything is appreciated!
