On Nov. 5 Meredith Roberts, a 17-year-old swimmer from North Tonawanda High School, was confirmed with acute liver failure with unknown cause. She was transferred from Oishei Children's Hospital to the University of Pittsburgh where they can best investigate and treat what is happening. Her family is praying for a miracle and a living liver donor.
NORTH TONAWANDA TEEN FIGHTING FOR HER LIFE NEEDS OUR HELP
"Meredith Roberts needs you again. She will likely need a liver transplant. What we've learned is that a living donor can donate half of his or her liver, and it regenerate within a week! The donated half to Meredith would also grow to full size.
This is a link to screen people willing to donate. You would be contacted further if you may be a match for further testing. FYI - our insurance would cover the donor. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you all for everything! (Please share this post like crazy!)"
