On May 5th, 2026, North Figueroa Animal Hospital experienced a devastating break-in between midnight and 4am. The perpetrators stole all of the clinic’s security cameras and computers, and vandalized the facility, leaving behind significant damage. This event has been a major setback for a business that has never faced anything like this in its 45 years of serving Northeast Los Angeles.

North Figueroa Animal Hospital, led by Dr. Joey Vasquez and his dedicated staff, has been a cornerstone of affordable veterinary care for the community. For the past 14 years, they have provided high-volume spay/neuter services for Humane World for Animal’s Pets for Life program, as well as for the Latino Alliance for Animal Care Foundation (LAACF). They are also a contracted veterinarian for the City of Los Angeles’ free spay/neuter voucher program. As a recognized Legacy Business, their commitment to helping animals and families in need has touched countless lives.

The funds raised will go directly toward repairing the clinic’s doors, replacing stolen computers and security cameras, and addressing all damages caused by the break-in.
